OUR ETERNAL GOD

Psalm 90:2 New International Translation
“Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”
God was, is and ever shall be. He was before time began. He existed prior to creation. It’s easier to disbelieve such things than it is to believe it.  We find it hard to accept such an incredible concept; therefore, it becomes a faith / trust issue. Even though I wasn’t there at the beginning of time, I have chosen to accept what the Word of God says about the Creation of the Universe.
So many of us want things right in front of us to see and inspect. In that type of experiential scenario we are the ones in control. In John 20:24-29 Thomas declares that he will not believe Jesus is risen until he sees for himself and can touch the holes in his wrists and wound in Christ’s side.  When this meeting took place, Thomas stopped his doubting. Jesus then said something interesting. He said in verse 29, “"Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." We are blessed if we believe that which is unseen as if it could be seen. That’s the definition of faith.
There are many things in this life that we cannot prove, but that doesn’t make them false. If we could prove without a shadow of a doubt that God did exist, what would it change? Would God become more powerful? Would He be any different than He already is? No. He wouldn’t. It’s your choice. Believe it or don’t believe it, but know this, the Bible clearly states that God is and will always be and is more than willing and capable of sustaining us if we choose to rely on Him.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
