THERE WILL COME A DAY

Psalm 46:10  New Living Translation

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”        

       There is peace to be found in God.  The peace that the world offers is temporary, fleeting, here today and gone tomorrow.  We can experience what Paul refers to in Philippians 4:7 as the “peace that passes all understanding”. The world knows nothing of it. They are constantly striving for things never realizing that that which is most important shall always remain out of their reach.  Lasting fulfillment, contentment, peace and hope will always elude them because they are seeking it in the wrong places.  These things are only found in the One true God, maker of the heavens and the earth. 

         There will come a day, unbeknownst to all except God Himself, when time shall be no more.  It will be the end of things as we know them.  It makes no logical sense to the finite mind, yet I have chosen to believe that day is coming nonetheless.  We don’t have to understand something to believe it.  That’s what faith truly is.  God will be exalted among the nations and in all the earth on that final day.  Time will be no more and a new heaven and new earth shall come down.

       Being still is something many of us have difficulty doing.  Peace eludes us.  We race thru our days without a moments rest. One day all time will cease and we will stand before our Lord.  That day is coming.  For those who know this, stay focused and be ready.  For those who do not, it’s not too late to seek the face of God and have your sins washed clean.  Ask God to forgive you, seek Him with all your heart and you will find peace, joy and a wonderful sense of fulfillment that nothing else this side of heaven can provide.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
