In your life, have you ever felt like you were in a pitch dark room groping for a light switch? I have. It’s a kind of lost feeling, isn’t it? No one wants to lose himself or be destroyed. Yet Jesus tells us that if our goal in life is to gain all this world has to offer we will forfeit our soul and our life. The Bible is very clear; you can never serve two masters. You will love only one and detest the other. Money seems to be at the root of evil. The Bible declares it to be so. What have you truly accomplished if you have amassed worldly goods if you have forfeited your soul in the process.
Christians, I am speaking to you as well. Let those things that are least important in this life fall by the wayside and embrace Christ like you never have before. For without Christ in our lives we have no hope. We are a rudderless ship. We may think we have done all these wonderful things all on our own, but we are fooling ourselves. Without Christ we can do NOTHING that has any eternal value. I want to do something in this life that matters in the eternal scheme of things. How about you?
