“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:14,16
Light is seen and not heard; therefore we are to show the world that we are different by our actions. Speaking the gospel is important, but words can fall on deaf ears. Talk is cheap, but the message isn’t. It cost the life of the Son of God.
So live the message with your life. Show them the love, mercy and grace that God has for them by being like Christ in your daily life. The goal is to bring glory to your Heavenly Father. It’s not something that tends to come easy for us. We get wrapped up in the ‘what ifs’ and concern ourselves with people’s reactions. Not everyone is going to embrace the faith, but there is a victory celebration in heaven for everyone who does. Our responsibility is to be the best we can be for God with the Spirit’s help.
