“Let Christ’s word with all its
wisdom and richness live in you.” – Colossians 3:16a God’s Word Translation
The goal of our faith is to live for
God each day. Paul gives us instruction in this simple verse. We must ingest
his word into our heart and soul. Having done so we must allow it to manifest
itself in our behavior. Develop a compassionate, forgiving heart attitude. Lead
with love letting it guide your life. Let Christ’s peace “which
exceeds anything we can understand”* rule our hearts. Be thankful each and
every day for the favor God has placed on your life. Feast on God’s word each
day to strengthen your spirit man. Live out your days on this earth being
mindful that you are a representative of Christ.
Those are definitely words to live by and
they are within your grasp in the word of God. Making excuses for
not
reading the Bible never fly because it’s one of the most important things we
must do as a follower of Christ. We mustn’t become weary of doing God’s will.
The world will wear you out so much so that you are exhausted and feel as if
you have no time or strength to do that which you know must be done for the
kingdom.
The Lord doesn’t need you, but he has
chosen to use you. What a rare privilege to be chosen by the God of creation to
work out his will among men. Until next time, walk with the King and be a
