“ … everyone knows that you are obedient to the Lord. This
makes me very happy. I want you to be wise in doing right and to stay innocent
of any wrong. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the
grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” Romans 16:19-20 NLT
How can we be obedient to the Lord without
knowing His word? We can’t. The Bible
lays out God’s plan for salvation amid the rich history of Israel as chronicled
in the Old Testament. We watch it come to fruition in the New Testament with the
birth, life and death of God’s Son. It
is the Christian that is attuned to scripture and seeks to please the Lord that
will make right, godly decisions. Superficial Christians who say all the right
things on Sunday, yet live like the devil the rest of the week have no idea would
have no idea how to live right according to God’s word. Therefore those who
have divisive intentions will not likely fool those who spend time searching
the deep recesses of scripture.
Satan is a defeated foe and that makes
him very dangerous. He needs to do all
he can now for he knows his time is short.
Once time is no more the devil knows the One who created him as Lucifer
will crush him.* His power, while
limited, is stronger than ours, so he can
be a danger to us. We mustn’t let our
faith give way to our senses, for the physical can lead us astray, while the
spiritual can lead us to heaven. God has
control over our soul’s enemy. We have
nothing to fear. Stay focus on the Lord
and all will turn out of it should according to the will of God.
Do what is right in the sight of God and
steer clear of all wrongdoing and you will feel the grace of God upon you. Obey and do right so that you will be in
right standing before your Maker on the final day. Until next time, walk with the King and be a
blessing!
