“But each day
the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I
sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.” – Psalm 42:8 New Living Translation
According to the Reformation Study Bible, God’s
loving kindness is toward those who are in covenant with him. They have
acknowledged his rule over them and are the ones his promises are meant for. We
are in covenant with God if we have accepted Christ’s forgiveness thru his
blood.
There is a certain
level of joy that comes to the heart of those who have surrendered their own
will over to their God. It can cause us to praise him with a song in our heart.
The Lord has that sort of effect on those whom he has created. Too many are
lost and have no idea they’ve been forgiven. They need to see the great and
wonderful gift that has been purchased at great price for them. Some may never
see, blinded by the prince of this world who seeks only to destroy. Truly
living with the resources at your disposal to successfully survive only comes
thru following Christ.
The unfailing love
of God shall cover those who are committed to him. No matter what we do we
cannot escape this unconditional blessing. God shall love us now and forever,
regardless of who we are or how we act. It shouldn’t cause us to live as we
choose, but rather cause us to do whatever he says for he alone has the power
to see us thru to the end. That’s something to keep in mind. Until next time,
walk with the King and be a blessing!
