“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among
the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
(Psalm 46:10 NKJV)
There is peace to be found in God. The peace that the world offers is temporary,
fleeting; here today and gone tomorrow.
We can experience what Paul refers to in Philippians 4:7 as the “peace that passes all understanding”. The
world knows nothing of it. They are constantly striving for things never
realizing that that which is most important shall always remain out of their
reach. Lasting fulfillment, contentment,
peace and hope will always elude them because they are seeking it in the wrong
places. These things are only found in
the One true God, maker of the heavens and the earth.
There will come a day, unbeknownst to all except God
Himself, when time shall be no more. It
will be the end of things as we know them.
It makes no logical sense to the finite mind, yet I have chosen to
believe that day is coming nonetheless.
We don’t have to understand something to believe it. That is what faith truly is. God will be exalted among the nations and in
all the earth on that final day. Time
will be no more and a new heaven and new earth shall arrive.
If the finite minds of Hollywood can create such things with Computer Generated Images, why is it so farfetched to think there is an Almighty unseen deity who can do the very same thing, only infinitely more complex and perfect?
