GOD’S ENDLESS LOVE

1 Chronicles 16:34 New Living Translation
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”
The love of God is an infinite thing; time without end, one day in the presence of Almighty God. Love. 1 Corinthians 13 is the only detailed, concise definition of love that I am aware of. Wrapped up in that chapter are all the attributes of love. Without an example, how would we ever know what love was. The bible tells us that God loved us before we even knew Him. It’s just like the love parents have for an unborn baby before he or she is born. This is possible because both parents created a baby through an act of love; God created man through an act of love as well. Simply put, that is how He could love us before we ever knew Him.
We can tend to not be very faithful at times, but that isn’t the way God is. “If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.” (2 Timothy 2:13 NLT) Everything about God is based on his faithfulness to perform that which he promised.  Having faithfulness means he can to counted on or relied upon to do that which he has said he would do.  So when it is said of the Lord that his love endures forever, you can know in your heart of hearts that he will never, ever stop loving you no matter what.
We can give thanks to the Lord by praising his name. Praise him for who He is. Praise him for the life he blessed you with. Thank him for His patience with you. Seek his guidance and direction regarding the way you should go. Seek to be more like Jesus in every aspect of your life. It is a challenge, but anything worthwhile is worth working at. Rejoice in the fact that even though He knows all your faults and failings, He chooses to love you forever in spite of yourself, because you are His child. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
