Thoughts From a Random Mind

The other day I said I got frustrated quite frequently, not angry, just frustrated. That frustration can take a quantum leap to exasperation in a heart beat. That causes me to overreact. The devil knows I have a problem with that and so the Lord allows him to do a tap dance on my head so I can learn to change my behavior. So far it hasn’t been working. Regretfully, I cuss and fuss and act like anything but a Christian. Thankfully it normally happens when I’m by myself. It doesn’t happen all the time but even once is unacceptable. It’s times like that that I am grateful for God’s patience.
A Christian’s life isn’t always cut and dry. We struggle with many of the same things our non-believing counterparts do. We don’t need to struggle like we do, but we allow our circumstances, many times that are out of our control, to give us a beating. We forget for that instant that the Holy Spirit resides within us. We forget that God is in control at all things. We forget everything we should remember at times like that and that’s exactly what the devil wants. He wants us to completely blow our testimony so that we feel unworthy to represent God. No matter what we say or do forgiveness is only a prayer away.
God knows the condition of our heart. He knows if our apology is real or fake. He sees if we are remorseful. He then expects us to get back up as a newly forgiven man or woman and learn from our mistake. The devil is already defeated. He’s lost the war, but still wins some of the skirmishes. He cannot harm us unless we allow him too, but even then God is there to guide us back to the path he had chosen for us. Don’t let your anger and/or frustration get the best of you. Before you blow your stack, pray. There is power in prayer. It is a mighty weapon against the forces of evil. The only way they win is if you turn your back on God and walk away. Don’t give up on your faith. Don’t let the devil win the small battle that is represented by your life. You are a child of the King.  Live like one. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing! rlkeller
