Psalm 139:13-14 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
These verses make no sense to the non-believer. To think that an unseen deity forming us in our mother’s womb is unbelievable and so they choose not to believe it. God, the supreme being in control of all things, made us for His good pleasure and yet the creature cries out to the creator, “I don’t believe in You!” How sad to actually think we can survive this life like we are a player in a Survivor reality game show, only to find out there is no million dollar prize awaiting us at the end.
It’s only when we begin to accept that perhaps, just perhaps, there is someone who is greater than we are; it is only when we begin to comprehend that we really know nothing and cannot make it on shear force or will to the end game, that we can truly live. It is what we have done with Christ and Him crucified that matters. That is all that matters when eternity is on the line. Good acts done for self satisfaction are meaningless to God. Good acts done in the name of Christ will draw people to God. That is what matters most. It is not about us. It never has been. Surrender your will to the One who formed you and knows all about you.
