GOD IS THERE

“… I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.”  Joshua 1:5b
If Joshua ever had any doubts about God’s faithfulness to His people, that one statement should have quelled them.  It should be a faith booster for us today as well, for scriptures chronicle the history between Moses and His God. It is true according to scripture that God never, ever failed or abandoned Moses.  Armed with this reminder Joshua could go forth with the utmost confidence.  If he ever had any doubts they should have been put to rest with that one statement from Almighty Jehovah.
Do you have a set of circumstances that have knocked you for a loop?  Finances, employment, family unrest … the Lord is aware of it all and will never, ever leave you to face your mountains alone.  There are many places in scripture where the Lord proves this statement as fact and Joshua had lived through the wilderness experience with Moses and the children of Israel, so he knew it to be true.
This world has nothing to offer us other than a temporary place to hang our hat.  Our citizenship is in heaven and our ticket has been punched to go when God determines the time has arrived.  He wishes us to succeed.  He wants us to have all the tools necessary to be effective ambassadors for His glory.  Buy into this simple fact, the Lord is in all places at all times and is aware of each and every event that takes place in the lives of each of His creation.  Rest in that fact.  He will never, ever fail or forsake you.  On that you can rely.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
