TRUSTING GOD

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT
Trust is something that must be earned.  If you never knew God why would you trust Him?  Would it be because of what you’ve been told about Him or would it be from your experiences with Him? Believing in God is something that must be tried and then trusted.  People will try just about anything at least once.  If something costs money, then it must be good.  If it costs lots of money, then it really must be good.  God paid the price, so believing is free of charge and so is trusting.
There isn’t a man alive who will not let you down at some point. Not even your closest friend or staunchest supporter.  However, with God there are no mistakes, no regrettable decisions, no abandonment, only hope giving, confidence building actions that invite us to trust Him with our lives.
Scripture is clear, those who place their complete and total faith and trust in Almighty God will be like trees along a riverbank.  These trees have the luxury of reaching deep into the rich, fertile soil that allows them to grow strong and vibrant.  Be strong for God and never stop producing fruit for the kingdom no matter what difficulties may cross your path.  Trials provide lessons to be learned and God is at the center of each trial.  So trust Him in all situations and be blessed!  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
