Titus 2:11-12 New
Living Translation
“For the
grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are
instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in
this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, …”.
There is no escaping the fact that we, as believers, must
live in this evil world. How must we
live? We must live by the grace of God thru the Spirit of God
with wisdom, righteousness and devotion to God. The Christian faith gives its followers
something the world cannot offer … a lasting and eternal hope. The Christian has a future that is filled
with hope as a result of their faith and trust in Almighty God. He will never fail us and wishes us to
succeed in all our endeavors as we seek to bring glory to him.
Our hope is based on three things that shall materialize
once Christ returns: 1) being in Christ’s presence; 2) realizing the full
redemption of all our sins; 3) seeing the restoration of the creation and the
rule of God’s grace. It may seem like a fairy tale to some, but to believers in
Jesus Christ it is very real. Everyone believes in someone or something,
Christians have chosen to place their unwavering faith in a God we cannot see
with our own eyes. It requires spiritual
sight to see the Lord.
The only way we can survive in this wretched world is to
lean on the wisdom and discernment of God’s Holy Spirit. We cannot do it alone. The Lord will see to it that we overcome all
obstacles that stand in our path. We can
be overcomers in all facets of life if we dedicate our life and alter our
lifestyle to glorify our Heavenly Father.
Avoid godless living and the sinful pleasures of this world. They are dead
end roads that lead nowhere. Until next time, walk with the King and be a
