AMBASSADORS FOR GOD

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:16a, 17 New Living Translation
Once we give our lives to Christ we become his representatives on this earth. By the way some believers act it is apparent they are unaware of this fact. We are not supposed to begin acting ‘holier than thou’, as the saying goes, treating others as infidels. This isn’t how any of us were treated prior to our conversion. God, thru the blood of Christ, cleansed us from all our sins, thus in a manner of speaking, anointing us as his ambassadors. From that point on both Christians and non-Christians will see us as people who are supposed to begin living according to godly standards. We can be sure non-believers are listening and watching, perhaps out of curiosity, perhaps to trap us into saying or doing something out of character.
If we allow Christ’s message to permeate our soul we will have a rich, full life. Even in bad times we will give thanks to the Lord because we are starting to realize that he has things under control.
We need to take our walk with the Lord very seriously, because the enemy of our soul seeks to trip us up constantly. If we focus on Christ and his life lessons we will start to become a mirror image of him in some respects. We will never achieve his state of perfection, but we are not expected to become perfect, simply to strive for perfection. As we live as Christ did, acting and reacting the way he did over 2000 years ago, people will notice. That is when you can give an account of the joy you have in your heart. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
