GOD’S PLAN

“For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.”
2 Timothy 1:9 New Living Translation
Before we ever knew God he knew us because he created us. He knew man would have a predisposition toward sin. There is absolutely nothing we could ever do to make us worthy of God forgiveness.  We are sinners. Our natural inclination is to do that which helps us regardless of its effect on others. That is the opposite of what God knows is the correct way to live. Knowing we sin he loved us anyway. Knowing we are unworthy he still sent his son to die in our place.  His divine purpose was to put on display his mercy and unconditional love.
Grace is the favor of God. It is totally undeserved. We can’t earn it. We can’t bargain for it. It is a gift and it comes in the form of forgiveness that is so powerful it wipes our sin slate completely clean. God’s forgiveness causes us to be righteous in his sight. God’s forgiveness gives us a ‘do over’.
Brethren, what have you done with your second chance?  Have you lived a life that is pleasing to the Lord? We must take our relationship with God very seriously. He planned since the beginning of time to save us from ourselves and though we don’t deserve such a wonderful gift it is ours. Don’t ever take it for granted. A very high price was paid for your redemption. A price you never have to repay, essentially because you are incapable of repaying it and God knows that.  Show that same grace, mercy and love you received from God to those around you and be a blessing! Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!

*Ephesians 2:8-9 New Living Translation  God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
