“Remember how the Lord your God led you through the
wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your
character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.” Deuteronomy 8:2
It is my firm belief that God either causes or allows
everything that takes place not only in our lives, but also in the universe as
a whole. If that were not true than how
could He possibly be a spirit being who claims to know all things, have all
power and be all places at one time? It
wouldn’t be possible would it? Things
happen to us in our life to teach us lessons about living. Some learn their lessons; others do not and
are caught in a cycle of mistakes and unfulfilled promises. Like the Hebrews of the OT we are tested and
as a result humbled by the circumstances that confront us. Rather than curse His name for our situation,
we should learn that each event comes with something for us to learn.
There are
times when even the strongest believers have a crisis of faith and begin to
lose hope. That is precisely when you
must realize that your world's not
falling apart, it's falling into place*.
God knows exactly what He’s doing and orchestrates events all around us
to bring His will and purposes to fruition.
It’s
imperative that we take stock of our walk with the Lord regularly. Personal assessment
is the responsibility of each and every believer. God knows your heart and
wants to see your faith and trust in Him grow, but it can only happen if you
have the desire for it to take place. Your will is the wrong path to
take. God’s will for you is the perfect
path that He laid out for you before the dawn of time. Remember from whence you came and realize
that living for God isn’t a test you take,
but rather a test you live. Until
next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!

to contemporary Christian music group Casting Crowns for those profound words. That’s a heavy line that can spark hope in
the hearts of all believers.
