“Never stop praying,
especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and
keep praying for God’s people.” Ephesians 6:18
How often do you
pray? Is it an integral part of your
life? If your belief in God is such that you trust Him with your life then you
should rely on earnest and sincere prayer as a means of inviting Him into any
situation. God is our Father and
protector. He is over all things for He
created all things. All things are
either caused or allowed by Him for His own purposes. The Lord wants only good for you and those you
love. All He asks in return is your
dying trust and allegiance.
Prayer
is an effective tool in the hands of the ardent believer. Those who pray with trust and conviction in
their hearts can accomplish anything the Lord desires to accomplish through
them. We shouldn’t use prayer to “get
things”. God isn’t a Genie in a bottle;
He is our Creator God. He has greater things
in store for those who trust Him then “things”.
He wishes to use us. This is why He gave us all gifts. How are you using your gifts? Do you even know what they are? Mine is writing, encouraging the body of
Christ and serving. We should ask God to
use us as He sees fit so that the use of our gifts can be maximized.
Pray
for others. How many times do you tell
someone you will be praying for them and then forget all about it? I’ve done that more times then I care to
admit. Now I stop what I’m doing and
pray for them right then and there if at all possible. That is where a blessing lies for the one
praying and the one receiving the prayer.
When all else fails, pray to your Heavenly Father. He loves you without condition and will help
you when you call out to Him. Until
Christ returns, walk with the King and be a blessing!
