THE NEW JERUSALEM

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
One day when time on this earth is no more, our faith shall be rewarded.  The current heaven & earth shall flee away as recorded in chapter 20, verse 11.  A New Jerusalem shall come down out from God’s heaven.  This is where true believers will live for all eternity in the presence of the Lord.
God’s creation had become tainted by sin through the actions of Adam & Eve.  The Lord doesn’t repair His creation; He re-creates it for His children to enjoy.  Our eternal destination will be a place of perfect peace and joy.  There shall be no fear, nor any sickness or death; neither shall there be any pain or sorrow.  There will be no reason to cry for the author of evil, Satan, and all His fallen angels (the demons) will have been thrown into a lake of fire.  Every negative thing will have been done away with.  Think about that for a moment.  This will be the real life global realization of what has taken place in each believer’s personal life … “old things are passed away, behold all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Our lives this side of heaven are far from perfect, however, they could always be much worse than they are.  We must never lose hope or compromise our faith and trust in God, for what He has said would take place in the future through His prophets of old, shall take place when He has made everything ready.  We mustn’t grow weary of well doing [1], for our timing is not at all what God’s timing is.  We need to ask ourselves if God has ever failed us and in the light of that answer, continue to trust Him to bring all things to fruition in their proper time.  Until Christ’s Return, walk with the King and be a blessing!
