“For the eyes of the Lord
are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face
of the Lord is against those who do evil.” Who is going to harm you if you are
eager to do good?” 1
Peter 3:12-13 NIV
While
God is a spirit being and doesn’t literally have eyes and ears, still it is
said frequently in scripture that He watches over the righteous and hears their
cries for help. God sees everything that transpires in this life,
but His eyes are particularly on those who have become His children. He holds a
certain guardianship and care over them. It should be noted that if we are washed clean of all
our passed sins God sees us as
righteous.
Those who
think evil thoughts, tend to put them into motion at some point. Their evil actions shall bring the wrath of
God upon them sooner or later, for His face is against them. He has distain toward them and will not allow
them to prosper forever. He allows what
He has chosen to allow in order for those outside the fold to have every
opportunity to repent. Therefore they
will have no excuses on the final day.
We, as
believers and followers of Christ, shouldn’t concern ourselves with those that
mean to do us harm. God has everything under complete control. Nothing can touch
us unless the Lord ordains it. If He
ordains it then He has control over it, as He has control over all things that
take place. If He has control over it
then it is His will for our life at that time.
God causes or allows things in our lives as faith lessons to build us up
spiritually. When we accept something as
God’s will for our life at that time, it becomes an opportunity to bolster our
trust thru increased reliance on Him.
It’s the Lord’s general will for us all to thrive as His children and be
blessed so that we can dispense His blessings to those around us each day. Until next time, walk with the King and be a
blessing!
