GOD IS WITH US

“The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.  What can mere people do to me?”  Psalm 118:6
When the Israeli people faced calamity the godly leaders would remind them that the Lord is with them and they had nothing to fear.  God is a God of miracles, signs and wonders.  He dispenses them as He wills.  The Lord always has our best interests at heart. Why something happens is less important that what happens.  What happens may be questioned, but you won’t receive any answer other than “trust me”.  Our trust in God needs to be so strong that we take all circumstances in stride because we know in our heart of hearts that He always has everything under control.  If there was anything out of His control then there would be someone greater then God who can keep Him from bringing something to pass.  That’s simply not true.  The ugly things that happen in life are done by those individuals who live without love in their heart and driven by their emotions.  They feed their inner rage with the negativism this world produces.  God doesn’t stop it because He is not a dictator, but rather a ruler who allows people to choose what path they will follow.  This way we are free to accept or reject that which stands before us.
Mortal man can do nothing to us but kill our bodies.  We love life and don’t want to lose it, but truly if we don’t give it away we will lose it anyway.* We are to give it away in the form of surrender to God.  What we are surrendering is our will.  God wishes to make us all that we can be in this life.  Only God knows the future.  Only He knows what we can become.
So fear not, my brethren, we have nothing to fear.  Christ has conquered the grave and no one this side of heaven can harm us or keep us from being with the Lord throughout eternity.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!

* Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39
