GOD HEARS & WILL ANSWER

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” - Matthew 7:7-8
There are two problems that arise when we seek from the Lord. One is noted in James 4:3, which says, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” (New International Version) To know the proper things to ask for you must know the mind of God as much as it is humanly possible to know. Know his will and his word and you will ask with correct motives.
The second thing is that we become impatient waiting and assume God either doesn’t hear or doesn’t care to answer. If you believe that you would be wrong on both accounts. We live under the constraints of time and space God does not. Look at 2 Peter 3:8, which says, “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”  We can be assured that God hears us; 1 John 5:14, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” Take note that it is according to his will that we must ask, not our own. To know his will for us we must know his word. To know the word is to know the mind of God.
The answer comes when we need it most. God, who knows all things, knows exactly the perfect time to present to you the answer you need. It may not come when you feel you need it or in the form you would like, but the Lord knows what he is doing and will provide for you what you need. “Trust the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
