“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your
God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand.” -
Isaiah 41:10
As much as Israel had
disappointed Almighty God thru the years of the Old Testament, they were still
his chosen people. Punishment was doled out when necessary to get their
attention & rein them back in. Now we are included as God’s chosen
people, all who are followers of Christ. We make poor choices just as the
Israelites before us; however, we serve a forgiving God who wishes us to
succeed in this life, not fail.
For God to tell us that he is with us wherever
we go & shall not let us fail is a wonderful promise that we can
cling to. When life becomes difficult & it seems to be more than you can
bear, we should remember that God is in the strengthening business & will walk hand
in hand with you thru any situation if you will take his hand. You are unable
to take on this world on your own & you don’t have to. Lean on the Lord as
you would a crutch & watch him carry you thru the worst this life has to
offer. But you must trust him to do so. Until next time, walk with the King and
