“But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” - Jude 1:20-21
We are called to build ourselves up in our faith as we move through this life. To not do so is to become stagnant. A stagnant pool of water obtains a foul odor and become filled with undesirable elements. We too will stagnate spiritually if we don’t read God’s word and pray.
As we go through this life we encounter many twists and turns that can frustrate us in our faith. We must feed our spirit man regularly to remain spiritual fit and ready for anything that attempts to drag us down. The devil works night and day to trip up even the most ardent believer. Love God and live out His mercy and grace by offering it to others outside the faith. Shun evil and thus negate the devil’s attempts to lead you astray. He has no effect on the dedicated believer for our faith is a shield that deflects all that would come against us. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
