“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
Being human, we tend to become anxious in certain situations. At times the mere possibility of certain future events can make us a nervous wreck. In light of that, Paul’s words to the Philippians should bring us comfort. If we say we believe in God, then we must surrender our will and trust Him to take care of us. We can pray about any situation that weighs upon our hearts or any challenging decision that we must make and God will hear us. He will provide answers exactly when they are needed most and peace when it is required. We can rely on that. We still worry, without question; God understands that about us. Our spiritual growth is progressive, so with each answered prayer or proper decision made our faith will grow and with it our trust. Relying on God is something we hesitate to do at times because we like to be hands on. Understand this: God will not fail you. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
