“I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” - Psalm 40:8
One of the keys to developing a personal relationship with God is to side step our own will in favor of the will of God. If God created us then there must be nothing about us that He doesn’t know; therefore, He must know what’s best for us. So it stands to reason that His will for us would be more beneficial than anything we could come up with on our own. This doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to make a move without the Lord’s approval. What it means is that when we are making life decisions, such as, where to live, where to attend church, who to date or marry, where to work, where to go to college and so on, we need to incorporate God in our decision making process. He alone knows the beginning from the end. He sees what we cannot see and knows what we cannot know. We must tuck His word in our heart and live by it daily with the Holy Spirit’s help. It’s only then that we can achieve contentment and fulfillment in this life. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
