As the death toll rises, we as believers in Christ must keep our focus on the Lord and not what is going on around us. It is normal and even helpful to know what’s going on in the environment in which you live, but the news is mostly negative and serves little purpose but to light a spark of fear. Despite the serious circumstances, God is STILL in control. I completely understand the seriousness of the current global situation, but that doesn’t lessen God’s power. If he so desired the Lord could end this pandemic with one move of his hand, but he has yet to do so. So we pray. We place our hope and trust in the Almighty One who loves us without conditions. We accept that while we are worthy of nothing, we are treated like children of the King. His mercy and kindness to us is ever present and forevermore.
If you happen to have the coronavirus do not lose hope for the latest statistics declare that 90-95% of those infected survive. Take the proper precautions and keep your faith in God strong.
“From the ends of the earth I call out to You whenever my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been my refuge, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.” – Psalm 61:2-4
