1. ELECTION ... Romans 9:10-13 - God’s choice of an individual or group for a specific purpose or destiny.
2. JUSTIFICATION ... Romans 4:25; 5:18 - God’s act of declaring us “not guilty” for our sins, making us “right” with him.
3. PROPITIATION ... Romans 3:25 - The removal of God’s punishment for sin thru the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. So Jesus was our propitiation.
4. REDEMPTION ... Romans 3:24; 8:23 - The price of sin is death; Jesus paid that price with his own blood on the cross so we could go free.
5. SANCTIFICATION ... Romans 5:2; 15:16 - Becoming more and more like Jesus Christ thru the work of the Holy Spirit.
6. GLORIFICATION ... Romans 8:18-19, 30 - The ultimate state of the believer after death when we become like Christ, “for we will see him as he really is.” (1 John 3:2)
This is our entire belief system in a nutshell. Learn it well for it spells out what takes place in our hearts and lives when certain things transpire.
