We are called to lose ourselves in Christ. We are to place others before ourselves. We are to see others through the eyes of God. We are to be Christ to a lost and dying world. This isn’t easy to do at times due to our acquired prejudices. We must cast aside our own feelings and immerse ourselves in the Word of God to know what is required of us. Those that live for themselves will save their own life, yet will lose it in the process. Those who give their life away will find it.
Living for God leads to the ultimate satisfaction, for by doing so we are making a difference in the lives of all we encounter. This satisfaction leads to contentment and a fulfillment that cannot be found anywhere else. This world provides nothing that is everlasting or eternal in nature, for everything in this world is temporal and will decay over time.
