SALVATION IS FROM GOD ALONE

“I, even I, am the Lord, besides Me there is no savior. I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God.” Isaiah 43:11-12 NKJV
Each and every day there are new ideas and notions about God.  Unbelievers and marginal Christians are widening the narrow path to heaven all the time.  Some believe all roads lead to the top of the mountain.  Some believe if you are good and live a sacrificial life you will go to heaven.  Man has always patterned his belief system based on his own thoughts and feelings and not on the Word of God.  Many give broad meaning to many a scripture verse and avoid all those that fly in the face of public opinion.  No discussion of hell is necessary.  We’re all going to heaven simply because we believe God exists and we are good people.  But what standard are these folks using to define ‘good’.
In the verses above the prophet Isaiah is speaking of Israel’s salvation from Babylonian captivity.  God is speaking of immediate and eternal salvation. There is no one who can deliver man from the oppression of sin and the horror of hell.  Salvation must come from God and we must seek it from Him.  Without a savior, there is no salvation.  This is why making a covenant with Almighty God is so important.
God boldly declares that He is God.  He is the One and only.  No one is coming after Him to meet our needs, both physical and spiritual.  The only way to fully understand what salvation means is to read thru the Bible slowly and deliberately.  Ask the Lord for discernment and understanding.  He will do that for you because He wishes you to draw close to His heart.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
