TRUSTING GOD

“Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.” Isaiah 26:4
‘To trust’ is to rely upon.  I’ve written a lot recently about trusting God and how trust is a natural result of faith.  It’s true.  Why bother placing your faith in someone if you can’t trust him or her?  Trusting the Lord isn’t trusting just anyone.   I think it’s safe to say that God has a pretty stout resume’.  Whatever we trust the world for will be only for a moment.  What we trust in God for will last forever.
The Lord never changes His mind, nor does He ever regret His decisions.  God’s decisions are based on His love for us and His desire for us to grow spiritually.  A true Christian will have a sincere desire to please God with their life.  Living for oneself is fruitless and empty.  No lasting satisfaction or fulfillment has ever come from selfish living.
Before the beginning of time God knew exactly how His creation would act and react to the various situations they would find themselves in.  He foreknew that we would all fail miserably.  That is precisely why He devised a plan to save us.  Trusting the Lord is part of that plan.  As we trust in Him He gives us the strength to survive in a sin sick and chaotic world.  God gives us everything we need as well, for He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider.   There is nothing in this life that we truly are in need of that He will not provide in one form or another.
We cannot live this life solely on our own strength, but with His strength we can.  Trust God always.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
