“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)
Psalm 107 speaks of the deliverance of God. Out of this verse I’d like to highlight two words: ‘endures’ and ‘forever’.
‘To endure’ can mean ‘to remain in existence’. There’s no known beginning to God’s love and there’s no end. ‘Forever’ can mean ‘for always’ or ‘for all future time’. Therefore, since no one knows when time will end, for all intents and purposes it is infinite in length.
We should give thanks to the Lord each and every day not just because He is good, but also because He is the only one who can save us and guide us through life.
It’s not just His love that has no end, but His mercy and grace as well. His forgiveness is available to all, though many don’t realize their need of it. One day when time is no more there shall be many who will rue the day that they took a pass on God’s gracious offer.
Know this day and each day forward that God loves you. His love for you shall never waver or lessen. He will always love you. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
