“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all
circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1
Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Rejoicing
in difficult circumstances is a hard thing to do. Giving thanks in all circumstances can be
equally problematic. Even when we know
the Lord is with us and is going to take care of us, the reality that stares us
in the face can sometimes make us forget whose we are. We are a child of the one true King. We can rejoice because no matter what we are
faced with we can be assured that God knows all about it and will guide us
through it if we let Him. We can go it alone if we think we can, but we never
have to. Alone can be a desolate place
to be. With God there is no need to fear or be concerned. We still do, but we don’t have to. It’s all tied to how great our trust in the
Lord is. When we truly know God and all He is capable of we will trust
Him. So follow Paul’s instructions:
rejoice and give thanks in ALL circumstances and pray for resolution to your
situation. God shall not fail you and
will never forsake you. On that you can
rely. Until next time, walk with the
King and be a blessing!
