UNCHANGING LOVE

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
God, in all His infinite wisdom, has placed no conditions on His love for us.  There is nothing in heaven, on earth or below the earth that could ever change one thing about His love for us.  We did nothing to bring this about.  God was the One who created us, exhibited infinite patience when we went astray.  God is the One who sent His only Son to buy us back for scripture tells us “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).  All this was done out of His immense love for us.
The devil would want you to think that your life was worthless, that every single mistake you make causes God to not love you anymore.  John’s gospel tells us (John 8:44) that the devil is a liar and the father of all lies.  God will never cast you aside no matter what you say or do.  As long as God says there is time you will be loved.  After time is no more, God will love you.  Now what is your response to that, a shrug of indifference or a feeling of gratitude?
You may have had people say they love you all your life and then let you down.  That may be because love is not a passive word, but rather an action word.  You don’t only tell someone you love them you show them.  God has shown us His love repeatedly throughout the ages and has made it very personal.  He created us and then saved us from ourselves when we went astray. This is the ultimate gift of love.  He knew we would go our own way, yet He loves us. Nothing on this earth could ever compare to God’s love for all the love in a sin sick world is conditional.  God’s love never changes.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
