COMMIT YOUR WAY UNTO THE LORD

“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.  And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.”Deuteronomy 6:4-6 NLT
The Lord had many instructions laid out for the children of God. The ones he is referring to in this passage are the Ten Commandments. Chapter 6 is God telling Moses what to relay to his people. While it is in the Old Testament we are obligated to obey them today as well. We are grafted into the branch as a result of the Jews rejection of Christ as their Messiah; therefore we could be considered spiritual Jews.
The world is constantly tugging at us to take a rabbit trail off the path God has set before us. Staying as close to the Lord as humanly possible is the way to avoid these rabbit trails. The only way we can truly receive the maximum benefit is to ask that our thought processes begin to be a reflection of what we know to be godly. The Lord wants us to succeed. When we seek his face we will be endowed with wisdom and peace for the tasks ahead.
We are to dedicate our whole being to Jesus Christ. Every facet of our life is to be an imitation of our Lord. We need to become familiar with how he would have dealt with the situations that arise in our lives. How would his thought process have been, what would he have said and as a result of those thoughts and words, what would he have done.  We are not making a go of this alone, we are watched over and giving aid when it’s requested.  If you have ever dedicated your life to anything, make sure it is something worthwhile … dedicate your whole life to the Lord. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
