THE DAY OF SALVATION PROCLAIMED

In that day you will sing:
“I will praise you, O Lord!
You were angry with me, but not any more.
    Now you comfort me.
See, God has come to save me.
I will trust in him and not be afraid.
The Lord God is my strength and my song;
    he has given me victory.”
With joy you will drink deeply
    from the fountain of salvation!
In that wonderful day you will sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!
Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things.
Make known his praise around the world.
Let all the people of Jerusalemshout his praise with joy!
For great is the Holy One of Israel who lives among you.”
Isaiah 12 New Living Translation
The prophet Isaiah is inspired by the Holy Spirit to encourage the people of Israel with this writing. “That day” is the day the Messiah comes to bring salvation to God’s people. By extension, salvation has been provided for all who receive Christ as the Lord of their life and Savior of their soul. It is by God’s grace and his grace alone that we are saved from our sin. There is nothing we’ve done or could ever do to save ourselves.
We are called as children of God to proclaim his virtues and share what he has done for us. God is consistent in his love and care for us. Nothing can cause us to be abandoned by him. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.” [2 Timothy 2:13 Amplified Bible]  We serve a gracious and kind Heavenly Father. “The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, "Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness, maintaining loving devotion to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin.”[Exodus 34:6-7 NLT] Rejoice in all the Lord has done for you up to this point in your life. Allow him to mold you into all he knows you can be for him. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
