The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning. – Proverbs 14:6
This verse reminds me of those who seek scientific proof regarding the existence of God. They shall find no such proof. Dietrich Bonhoeffer once said, “A god who let us prove his existence would be an idol.” No proof is coming. In a faith-based belief system proof isn’t needed. Faith believes in things that cannot be seen as if they can be. If proof of God’s existence were available, then faith wouldn’t be needed. We are told in Hebrews 11:6 that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” Those who are wise and perceptive, not rushing to conclusions shall achieve knowledge. Faith and not sight is part of the package that provides Godly wisdom and insight. Those that mock God and all He stands for are ignorant fools with no understanding. God honors those who use discernment, providing guidance and direction for their lives. Those who laugh at the faithful shall find nothing but heartache and misery in the long run. It is easy to poke fun at that which we do not understand; however, those who accept by faith that which they cannot ascertain shall be rewarded with knowledge. Until next time…walk with the
