“No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he
requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with
your God.” – Micah 6:8 New Living Translation
It’s interesting how clear God makes it
to please him, yet people down thru the ages have been trying all kinds of
ways. Simply put, it really couldn’t be any clearer.
Now
‘doing what is right’ is a relative term. We are to seek to do that which is
‘right’ in God’s sight, not our own. That requires reading his word. It
says the Lord has told us what is good. Are you fair in your dealings with
others? Regarding mercy, do you show it to those who have done you wrong? Regarding
being humble, have you been walking in humility?
Personal
assessment of one’s life should become a regular part of a Christian’s life. We
are required to live differently than the world, mainly because we are not of
this world. We don’t fit in, we were never meant to. Live according to God’s word and will for you
and you will be gratified with the results. Remember, it’s absolutely not about
you, but rather God IN you, the hope of glory! Until next time, walk with the
King and be a blessing!
