OUR FAITHFUL GOD

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”  Hebrews 11:1

“Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.” - Max Lucado

Mixed in with the fact that many folks simply ‘believe’ in the existence of God is the notion that whatever they want in this life will be provided to them by God.  Is He a genie in a bottle and nothing more?  Is He to be at our beck and call whenever we want something yet ignored otherwise?  That’s not at all how it’s supposed to go.
Why did Jesus come to earth?  Why did He die a horrific death on a wooden cross?  I don’t see any other religious icons such as Buddha or Mohammed doing such a thing.  Jesus was a man of action.  He did miracles of healing and raised a man from the dead.  He provided food to thousands from scant provisions.  And He willingly went to a criminals cross to die at the hands of sinners.
Christ died to pay for our sins.  No one else down through the ages has ever even hinted that he or she would or could do that.  When we place our full faith and trust in Christ, our wants should begin to fade into the background and our needs should be front and center.  God knows all our needs and will fulfill them in accordance with our faith.  However, even when our faith is weak He provides what we need because He cannot and will not deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13).  He is forever faithful.  Always remain true to your faith and trust God with all your heart, mind, soul and spirit.  You will be blessed if you do.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
