FAITH FINDS FORGIVENESS

Hebrews 1:3 New Living Translation
“The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.”
Faith doesn’t require facts. It doesn’t require the study of ancient manuscripts. Faith is taking someone at his or her word that what he or she is saying is the truth and believing it wholeheartedly. So when the Bible tells us Almighty God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of One with 3 facets, we are being asked to believe that is true by faith. God came to earth in the form of a man so he could relate to men on their own turf, so to speak. Jesus Christ was that man. Scripture tells us that when you saw Jesus you saw God for he was the complete essence and expression of God in human form. The Son radiates the Father’s glory and behaves in the way God would behave. The Lord showed his compassion by ministering the truth in person to all those he encountered, when he could have simply erased them from the earth for disobeying his commands. While he doesn’t wink at sin, God does offer redemption to those with a contrite heart. You see, we judge on externals, but God goes right to the heart of the matter, examining our thoughts, motives, words and resulting actions. But his examination always starts with the deepest recesses of one’s heart.
Once Christ’s mission was completed the Lord ascended into heaven and sat down in his rightful place to the right of Almighty God.  This is the person we are to follow. This is the person who’s example we are to imitate. His is the word that we are to digest. His is the story we are to tell others. That forgiveness is available to even the vilest sinner and it comes in a man whose name is Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. So believers, even if you have done something uncharacteristically terrible and feel like there’s no coming back from it, know this, God is still in the forgiving business and redemption is only a prayer away. Christ died for all that all would have the chance to choose life over death. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
