PRAISE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE

“In that day you will say: ‘Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.  Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.’”   Isaiah 12:4-5
The prophet Isaiah has just gotten finished prophesying regarding the future of the people of Israel. Once all the things prophesied have come to fruition, the people of Israel will praise the name of God and make His great deeds known to all the nations of the earth.  Is that not also what we as believers in the Lord are to do as well.  We are blessed, yet we remain silent.
You may say, well this is for the Jewish people, not for us.  Not so.  Because of Israel’s rejection of Christ as their Messiah gentiles1 were grafted into God’s family2.  The opportunity for salvation was then afforded to all men and not just the Jews.
The miracle of sins forgiven is reason enough for all mankind to sing the praises of Almighty God for without Him there would be absolutely no hope for our survival.  We would be destined to die in our sins, never to rise again.  However, that is not the case for those who believe.  If our belief leads us to unwavering faith in the unseen God, then it must also lead us to unshakable trust in His ability to not only save, but also provide for and sustain us throughout this life.  Rejoice in that fact and give praise to the one true God who loves us in spite of ourselves.  Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!

1 Any one who is not a Jew.
