“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” (Ephesians 4:2)
The Apostle Paul writes to the believers in Ephesus and the surrounding area churches exhorting them to put into practice that which he has taught; namely, to live with a humble and gentle spirit. That combined with tolerance and patience will make them less likely to judge those around them. It is time for them, just as it is time for us, to put into practice those things we know to be true.
The world sees Christians as nothing more than a bunch of hypocrites; people who preach one thing then do something quite different. We can’t even get along within our own churches let alone with those from different denominations. We are sinners saved by the grace of God. We should take a hard look at our Lord then apply the characteristics that He exemplifies to our own lives. How else will a non-believer ever know Christ?
In John 3:35 Jesus instructs His disciples to love one another just as He has loved them. He told them this was how others would know they were followers of Christ. Let us live out the word of God and let our actions speak louder than our words.
Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
