“For the word
of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. He loves whatever
is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.” –
Psalm 33:4-5
God is the
Creator of all things, Lord of our hearts and Savior who delivers us from sin.
It is for these reasons that he is worthy of our trust. He is also more than
worthy of all our praise as well. If anyone would like to know what real truth
is they need look no further than the scriptures which are God’s word to man.
His word reflects his character. There is no deception with the Lord. Whatever
he says and does can be counted on to be for our greatest good.
The love of God
is never-ending. It never fails. He loves us with the type of love that forgives
even before forgiveness is sought. There is nothing that can compare with the
love and trustworthiness of our God. He leads his people into righteous living
by the power of his word. If we apply his statutes to our lives we will become
a reflection of his character. This is why we are told to imitate Christ, for
he was the only one who came as God, yet lived as man. He knows our heart and
guides us into godly living by his example.
With all this
being true, we are to embrace every aspect of our God: his word and his spirit
shall guide us into all truth according to his perfect will for our lives.
