LOVE AS GOD LOVES

“No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.”1 John 4:12
The love of God is found in the embodiment of Jesus Christ. He was God in human form. Those who saw Jesus with their own eyes saw Almighty God. Those who saw who Jesus truly was were changed from the inside out. It mattered not where they were from, what they wore or what they did for a living, for God looks at the heart of a man, not the externals.
How are we to love others, namely those God brings into our lives. As I have been saying, it is by imitating Christ in our daily lives. This isn’t an easy thing for us because we weren’t born followers of God. We sought a divine association with the Almighty once it had become clear to us that we were in need of forgiveness for all we had done outside his will. Followers of Christ have the Spirit of God living within them. All of mankind doesn’t have God within, only those who invited him into their hearts and lives. Their destination is heaven, their salvation assured. Those who are on the outside of God’s family gaze upon the metamorphosis that has taken place in us and either curse us or desire what we have. Some who curse us the most vehemently may be the ones who secretly desire it the most.
Be Christ to those you encounter. Feed on his word and become familiar with that we are called to accomplish in this life. We cannot know all God knows; it isn’t possible. But we can become a living ‘show & tell’ of God’s loving kindness simply by living out the scriptures as best we can with the help of the Holy Spirit. Until next time, walk with the King and be a blessing!
